Job Description
Power Industry Support, LLC is actively recruiting a Manager of Compliance and Safety for an Ammonia/Urea manufacturing and delivery company based out of Upland, CA. The candidate must be officed in Upland, CA and available to travel the Stockton and Riverside facilities upon a routine basis for administrating the below responsibilities.
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Compliance and Safety, the successful candidate will have opportunity for future growth and advancement to an executive position within the company.
Salary Range: $110K+ / Benefits.

Job Summary:
This position plays an essential role in ensuring that the organization adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. This position involves overseeing the compliance program, interpreting new regulations and laws, and advising management on any actions or changes needed to maintain compliance. By conducting regular audits and reviews, the Regulatory Compliance Manager helps to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, developing and implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues. Their expertise supports the organization in maintaining a clear understanding of regulatory requirements, thus enabling it to operate smoothly within legal boundaries and avoid potential fines or legal penalties. Through their work, they contribute to the establishment of a culture that values adherence to laws and regulations, safeguarding the organization’s integrity and reputation.
Key Accountabilities:
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s compliance policies and procedures to ensure all activities are in alignment with local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation, liaising with auditors, and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in response to audit findings.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees at all levels on compliance standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure organization-wide understanding and adherence.
- Review and approve all marketing materials, contracts, and external communications to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and analyze changes in laws, regulations, and industry guidelines that impact the organization, and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
- Establish and maintain a compliance risk management framework to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor compliance risks across the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, managing all correspondence, reporting, and inquiries to ensure a positive and cooperative relationship.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, complaints, or breaches, including developing and overseeing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

Skill/Knowledge/Experience Requirements
- 5+ years prior experience in compliance roles
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a compliance certification
- Superior attention to detail in order to identify and correct risky practices
- Must be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing
- Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members
- Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies
- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Should have a strong moral code and sense of ethics
